Kohima, April 5 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today congratulated the Government of Nagaland led by the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio for having successfully hosting and organising the G20 & B20 Summits in Kohima from April 4-6.
“Hosting such a global event has definitely taken Nagaland into the global arena which will have far reaching benefits towards the future growth and development of the State,” the party stated in a communiqué.
It further maintained that the summits have been the biggest event held in Nagaland so far and the “prestige and honour” of hosting the events has shown that the State is “now an important landmark in the country.”
Calling it one of Nagaland’s biggest achievements, the NDPP noted that it has pushed the State brand into the global forum and it expressed confidence that this would give a huge impetus in promoting Naga soft power globally.
The party also appreciated Prime Minister and the Government of India for reposing their confidence on the State to host such a mega global event.
It further assured that the party would continue to ensure that the government delivers on all the commitments made to the people by standing firm on our motto “Facta Non Verba” (deeds not words), under the slogan “Nagaland – Towards a State of Excellence”!
