Dimapur, March 5 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has lauded the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, the Speaker and all members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) for having conducted yet another successful Session and passing of the people centric Budget 2024-25.
As per the party, during the 2nd session of the 14th NLA held from February 26-March 1, many important resolutions and decisions pertaining to the people were passed. The cohesiveness of the members in standing united for the welfare of the citizens of the State speaks volumes of their commitment towards ensuring the growth of the people of the State and the democratic system they represent, it said.
The NDPP also puts on record its appreciation at the passing of the people centric Budget 2024-25 which it maintained showed firm commitment of the leadership towards ensuring that the youth of the State are not deprived of their role in the nation building process.
At the same time, the budget ensured that the very core of the economy, the Argi and allied sector is further strengthened. The Government is moving in the positive direction towards achieving Good Governance, the NDPP maintained.
The NDPP is confident that the State Government under the leadership of CM Rio will continue to serve the people by ensuring an all-round growth of the State and her people in the years to come, it added.
The party also congratulated Dr Chumben Murry, Advisor to the Chief Minister for having been given the all important party ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Terming him as a seasoned and groomed politician, the NDPP maintained that Dr Murry’s would play a pivotal role in the growth of the State once he is elected to Parliament.
The party also called upon people of the State to continue supporting the NDPP-led People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) Government towards transforming Nagaland with the vision of sustainable development.
