Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): The NDPP Minority Committee at its meeting on November 18 at Walford, Dimapur resolved to revamp, restructure and strengthen the Minority Committee of the party in Nagaland. The meeting started with an invocation by Raju Pradhan, President, Minority Unit of Dimapur and one minute silence was observed in honour of (L) G Kits, former DMC member who expired on November 17.
Mohindra Thousen, President, Minority Committee highlighted on the formation of the Minority Committee (Central), Minority Organization, Dimapur Region and the Minority A/c Units.
He informed the house on the “Representation” submitted to the NDPP party President Chingwang Konyak with a request to elevate the present Minority Committee into full fledged Minority Committee at the Central level with powers to induct/accommodate more leaders and members in the party fold.
Senior Minority leader, Dipak Yholmow, emphasized upon the proper functioning of the party according to the constitution of the NDPP. He also appealed the student’s community to come forward in nation building and enroll themselves in the party and actively work to in the interest of the party for their future.
The house unanimously resolved to support the leadership of Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, and the NDPP President Chingwang Konyak and resolved to revamp, restructure and strengthen the Minority Committee in other districts of Nagaland.
