TL Merry of Okotso village, NDPP general secretary lauded the BJP-NDPP alliance and said, “All political parties in the country are equals before the Election Commission of India and the Constitution of India when it comes to rules, guidelines and rights. No matter how much some sections criticize and lament, trying to lure the people to go against the Narendra Modi led formidable BJP-NDPP pre poll alliance; one must be reminded of the liberty – of thought, expression, faith, belief and worship guaranteed by the constitution of India.”

A press release from NDPP Okotso village unit president, Nchumthung Ngullie further quoted Merry as saying that change is coming for better under the leadership of Neiphiu Rio, the NDPP-BJP alliance chief ministerial candidate.
