NDPP, others mourn Neilazotuo Kire

Kohima, August 16 (MExN): The rank and file of the NDPP has mourned the demise of Neilazotuo Kire (Zotuo), NDPP President of the 9th Kohima Town A/C at Kohima on August 16.

A statement from NDPP President Chingwang Konyak stated that Kire served as the Political Secretary to the incumbent MLA of Kohima Town Dr Neikiesalie Nicky Kire, from 2008-2013 and continued to be his closest advisor till his demise.

“Late Zotuo, as he was fondly known was very well connected to the people especially to the constituents of Kohima town,” the statement read.

Konyak said that Kire, having come from a humble background, worked tirelessly for the upliftment of the people and “could relate to the people in the grassroots and was an asset to the people of Kohima town constituency and the NDPP party.”

“As the president of the NDPP Kohima town assembly constituency, he led from example and strived to ensure that the party grew from strength to strength,” he added.

Apart from the political field, late Zotuo was also a registered Class-1 contractor who was known never to compromise on his workmanship, the statement read. 

“In his demise, the NDPP and the constituents of Kohima town A/C, has lost a shinning member and a leader of the grassroots. The vacuum he leaves behind will not be easy to fill,” Konyak stated.

The NDPP family conveyed its condolences to Kire’s wife, children and members of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed to rest in peace. 

9th Kohima town ACCC: In a statement on August 16, the 9th Kohima Town Assembly Constituency Congress Committee (ACCC) mourned the demise of Zotuo and eulogized the departed as “a man with principle and trust worthy.”

“We deeply feel sad and regret that we have lost our good leader and friend,” it said while conveying condolences to the bereaved family.

FPSU Kohima: The Fair Price Shop Union, Kohima District in its condolence message stated that late Zotuo “was one of the shining leaders who worked tirelessly for the welfare of common people throughout his life.”

The Union prayed to God to grant eternal rest to the departed soul and also grant solace to all the members of the bereaved family.

ANFPSA: The All Nagaland Fair Price Shop Association (ANFPSA) while mourning his demise, remembered late Zotuo as “a committed and dedicated human being who has been working tirelessly and sincerely for upliftment of the Fair Price Shop dealers in Nagaland.”

“He was a source of strength and guidance for the entire FPS dealer of Nagaland as one of the senior most FPS dealer, the ANFPSA said while expressing appreciation and gratitude to him and his family for the contribution he has made for the association. 

Expressing solidarity and condolences to the bereaved family, the ANFPSA prayed for all the bereaved family and for the departed soul rest to rest in peace.
