
Mokokchung/Zunheboto, October 24 (MExN): The consultative State tour of Central Executive Board (CEB) of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) team led by its president, Chingwang Konyak covered Mokokhung and Zunheboto last week.
The touring team included Charlie Sekhose Senior Vice President; Benjamin Lorin Vice President i/c Enrollment, TL Merry Vice President; Kakheto Y Muru Vice President; Tali Pongen President Agri & Allied Organisation; and Imchatoba Imchen, President Central Youth Organisation.
As per a release from the party, the team visited Mokokchung Region was undertaken from October 17-18 and held meeting held on October 18 at the NDPP Mokokchung region office.
The meeting witnessed wide-ranging interaction and indepth consultation dwith the Office Bearers of the NDPP region, Frontal organisation Leaders; the Youth, Women, Agri & Allied and the 10 Assembly Constituencies and CEB members from the Region, it said.
Addressing the meeting Chingwang Konyak shared the ground realities on wide ranging political issues pertaining to the state of Nagaland and party politics in particular.
He also urged the NDPP Mokokchung region party leaders, and the CEB and Ministerial in-charges to positively establish invigorated and cohesive workmanship on “war footing.”
All the ten Assembly Constituencies and the three Frontal Organisations of the region presented comprehensive status reports with special reference to the actual enrolment figures in respective A/Cs, it added.
Meanwhile, the team visited Zunheboto Town on October 19 and a meeting was held at the residence of the President Zunheboto Region.
Minister G Kaito Aye and MLA Er Picto Shohe MLA and party delegates from the NDPP 31-Akuluto A/C, 32-Atoizu A/C, 33-Suruhuto A/C, 34-Aghunato A/C, 35 -Zunheboto A/C And 36-Satakha A/C were present at the meeting.
A press release from NDPP Zunheboto region informed that Chingwang also shared on Naga political issue and the stance of the NDPP at the meeting.
The present NDPP-led Government in Nagaland was taking an active role of a facilitator for arriving at an honourable solution acceptable to one and all, he added. He also urged all the party cadres be ever vigilant and extend its full support to the party central and the NDPP-led Government.
General Secretary P Hutovi Awomi also presented the status report of the NDPP Zunheboto Region.
