North East Coaching Institute (NECI) offering special coaching classes for NPSC and UPSC was inaugurated on Saturday by O. Alem IPS, DGP (retd) at J.T House, House no 88, Churches Colony near Lotha Baptist Church, City Tower Dimapur.

NECI is run by Skilled Educational Society, an organization formed by concerned citizens from diverse professional educational backgrounds with the motive to impact and empower lives of the people. The Society endeavours to take its holistic programme covering all aspects of development for the underprivileged and their capacity building.

Speaking at the programme, Alem lauded the bold approach of the young professionals in building up skills for young people. He advised the NECI to create links with Administrative Training Institute, Kohima and the NPSC. He also urged the Society to chip out the best out of a person and aim at gradual success rate. He said it was not the infrastructure that will make a person but the quality of the faculty. Alem emphasized on the need to prune, churn and stir the minds and personality of the candidates. “Do not let the flame of your institution go down but keep it burning,” he encouraged.
Founder & Director of NECI, Khekavi Sema delivered the welcome address while Rev. Dr. Shiwoto Assumi dedicated the institute.
