Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): Rainfall is expected to pick up pace over the entire Northeastern states as heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the next four to five days, according to skymetweather report. Thereafter, a drop in rain activities over these areas is predicted, the report adds.
According to Skymet, rains over northeastern states till now have not been very encouraging. The reduction in rain towards the end of June was due to a development of a low-pressure area over west central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal.
This weather system has diffused now and normal flow of moist wind has been restored. The Monsoon trough is also expected to shift towards North, leading to increased rainfall activities, the report added.
