Deputy Inspector General cum Principal (DIG/P) of CRPF Training Center, Jodhpur quashed the misconceptions of political conflicts and killings in the Northeast states in the media.


Kumar who was posted in the Northeast for three years, during an interaction with the seven members touring journalist said, except for some stray incidences and minor problems, which exists everywhere, NE is relatively peaceful.


The touring media team led by Abdul Hamid, Dy. Director PIB Imphal and Kohima and Ashish Verma, media officer PIB Jodhpur, visited the centre this morning, September 25.


Attributing Naga people's sincerity, humility, hardworking and helpful nature to being Christians, he said Nagaland is relatively a nice place to stay.


"If you are not posted or been in Northeast during your service, then you have not been to anywhere," said Kumar to his subordinate officers.


On the cultural differences, Kumar affirmed that "we must learn and respect each other's culture, only then we can understand about each other."
