Kohima, December 11 (MExN): The NE Tech Summit 2024, held at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, brought together over 300 attendees in a celebration of technology, innovation, and collaboration. The event, hailed as a landmark moment for Northeast India, showcased the potential of entrepreneurship and digital growth in the region.
Organised by the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation (NIDC), sponsored by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), and supported by partners such as SaaSboomi, Asia’s largest community of SaaS founders, the summit served as a platform for visionaries, students, and entrepreneurs.
The opening session saw speeches from prominent leaders. Kvulo Lorin, Chairman of NIDC, welcomed the gathering, while Arvind Kumar, Director General of STPI, highlighted the national significance of the Northeast’s technological journey.
Chief Guests of the event were Sethrongkyu, MLA and Advisor for IT&C; and Hekani Jakhalu, MLA and Advisor for Industries & Commerce.
The day featured diverse sessions, ranging from gaming opportunities led by Rahul Sehgal of Gamer2Maker to sustainable business strategies presented by Saumya Singh Rathore of WinZO. Arvind Parthiban provided insights into leveraging India’s SaaS advantage.
Technical workshops and sessions delved into topics like game development and digital marketing, while roundtables explored emerging trends such as deep tech and direct-to-consumer branding. A panel discussed empowering non-tech and arts students to utilise AI for creating global products. Exhibition stalls were set up for tech startups. StartUp Nagaland, regional incubators, educational institutions, and government stakeholders actively participated in the summit.
