Dimapur, October 26 (MExN): The Nagaland Police recruitment drive for 1,176 Constable (General Duty) posts has witnessed a remarkable response, with 19,914 candidates registered so far. Of these, 17,728 have paid the Rs 300 examination fee, while authorities noted that several registered aspirants are yet to complete the payment.
The online application process, which began on October 6, is being conducted exclusively through the official recruitment portal https://nagalandpolicerecruitment.in.
Candidates are urged to submit the fee before the deadline of 3:00 PM on November 7 to confirm eligibility.
The recruitment, advertised on September 30 by the Office of the Director General of Police, will be conducted through open rallies across district headquarters by the Departmental Recruitment Board and District Screening Committees.
Candidates declared medically fit and who clear the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will then appear for a written examination, with a final merit list prepared based on PET and written test results. Shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews at a ratio of 1:3.
Eligibility criteria include an age range of 18–38 years and educational qualifications from Class 6 for Backward Tribes to Class 8 for other Indigenous Naga Tribes.
While most posts are district-wise based on tribal ratios and population, 144 posts in Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland districts are open to all Naga Indigenous Tribes.
