NEC discusses NER regional plan

Shillong, April 6 (DIPR): In a meeting convened on  April 5, at North Eastern Council (NEC), Secretariat, the Draft Regional Plan for all round development of North Eastern Region prepared by NEC was discussed with various Regional Heads of Government of India Organizations. Representatives from various Government of India Organizations like ICAR, Ministry of Health, Airport Authority of India, NESAC, UGC, Ministry of Power, MSME, Sports Authority of India etc took part in the meeting and deliberated on the draft regional plan.   Chairing the meeting C.K. Das, Member, NEC emphasised on a sustainable regional plan for the North Eastern Region with input and proactive participation of various Government of India Organizations operating in the region as well as state governments. He also stressed on regular dialogue and interaction on development issues.   Secretary, NEC, Ram Muivah welcomed the participants and also briefed on NEC’s activities and coordinated the meeting.
