NECU certified for Traditional Community Healthcare Providers

Dimapur, October 20 (MExN): North East Christian University (NECU) have been recognized and accredited by the Quality Council of India as a Personnel Certifying Body (PrCB) for Traditional Community Healthcare Providers (TCHPs).   It is the first university in the country and second institution to receive the recognition, a press release informed.  

The NECU was established by an Act passed by the Legislative Assembly of Nagaland and is recognized under UGC Act to confer and award degrees for different programmes. It can also award certificates and diplomas in various specified areas, the release said.  

The NECU also stated that, although it is a Liberal Arts University, strives to promote traditional and cultural diversity, as well as, biodiversity, which are undoubtedly the main strength of the Northeast India.  

“NECU will continue to strive in areas that will empower and uplift the community and people of the region. It will aim for and maintain a high benchmark for quality teaching, training and facilitating,” the release further stated. It welcomes partnership in any area that will help improve the quality of life of the people.  

The QCI is the highest authority in the country to administer quality control and standardization.
