Dimapur, October 8 (MExN): North East Christian University (NECU) organised the dedication function of the 1st Floor West Wing of the Anchor Building and the Girl’s Hostel at the NECU City Campus on October 7.
A press release received here stated that the Executive Director of the International Ministries, Rev. Sharon Koh and Rev. Dr. Joseph Huse, Friends of NECU dedicated the above facilities respectively. Rev. Koh was accompanied by a four member team from the International Ministries and Rev. Huse led the team of Friends of NECU and the American Baptist Churches, USA. Rev. Katie Longkumer, the country co-ordinator of International Ministries, was also present.
The dedication function was followed by a special programme at the newly inaugurated Seminar Hall to show appreciation to all the partners of NECU for their support and highlight the progress made in the City Campus of NECU at Anchor Complex, Burma Camp East Block, Dimapur.
Rev. Bonny Resu, former General Secretary of the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation said the opening prayer for the dedication programme. Vice Chancellor Prof. Darlando Khathing gave a brief presentation on NECU and Director of operations Huzo Meru gave the report on NECU’s resource mobilisation. Speeches on behalf of the Governing Council members of NECU were given by Alemtemshi Jamir (IAS) and Rev. Zelhou Keyho, General Secretary of the NBCC.
Meaningful insights were shared by the visiting overseas guests and few special numbers were presented by NECU Students and representatives from the Oriental Theological Seminary. The gathering also included special invitees and guests along with family and friends of NECU.
