
Wokha, May 26 (MExN): The North East Executive Council of Janata Dal (United) has expressed sadness over the hardship faced by passenger of the North East bound Special Train from Gurugram, Harayana and flayed the incident.
At the first instance of the incident, the party had taken up the issue with the Chief Minister Office of Bihar and accordingly the situation was put under control, informed a statement issued by National General Secretary JDU, Afaque Ahmed Khan and Chairman, NEEC-JDU, Senchumo NSN Lotha
In the light of the above, the NEEC, JDU also requested the respective state governments of North East to intimate the respective governments where the Special Train passes so that such kind of untoward incident does not take place in the near future.
The NEEC JDU is willing to coordinate in assisting such movements of stranded people coming from outside of North East, it said.
The Council further requested all the passengers boarding such special trains to be modest in their journey and refrain from “indulging” in any activities that may be proved counteractive.
It also expressed its gratitude to all individuals, governmental and civil organisations, who had taken initiatives in contributing to ameliorate the hardship of the innocent passengers of the said train in their own capacities.
The NEEC, JDU appeal to one and all to be a part of solution than creating problem especially, in this time of pandemic, it added.
