Parliamentary Secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Jacob Zhimomi on Friday graced the third day of Dimapur Night Carnival (DNC) as the special guest.
Speaking at the programme, Jacob spoke about the need to develop the city at all fronts and lauded the organizers for taking the initiative to provide a platform for the people. Pointing out that there was no industry and commerce in the state, he stressed the need for the people to be self-reliant. He also thanked the participants for their enthusiasm and appealed the people to maintain peace and tranquillity during the festive season.
Jacob also announced serial number 000950 as the lucky winner of raffle draw after randomly picking it from a bucket. The winner would walk away with a Suzuki Bike.
As the DNC entered the third day, people continued to throng the Naga Shopping Arcade to have fun time with family and friends.
Every evening, the organizers invite a special guest and a brief programme is held where several musicians, dancers and artists take the stage to entertain the people.
Governor of Nagaland, P.B. Acharya will be the special guest on the fourth day – Saturday.
