Kohima, September 20 (MExN): Neighbourhood Boys from Tseminyu village defeated Sporting FC 'A' from Tesophenyu village by a solitary goal in the final of Futsal Tourney 2020 at Tseminyu village on Saturday.
Nyithong Magh of Sporting FC team bagged individual prize as ‘Player of the tourney’ while Johilo Tsela of Neighbourhood Boys won ‘Best Goalkeeper.’
The 2-day Futsal event was organized by Neighbourhood Boys in collaboration with Vanguard FC- Tseminyu to encourage active and healthy activities among youths in the midst of the pandemic and part of Vanguard FC's grassroots initiative.
This event brought together 27 teams from all parts of Tseminyu after a long break from football activities.
VFC officials led by Benlo Thyüg and Rengma Students' Union president Heiko Kent presented the certificates and cash prizes to the winners.
VFC and KeBen Enterprise sponsored the first and second prizes while family members of Lt. Jennifer Kent sponsored individual prizes.
