Dimapur, November 2 (MExN): The North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) on October 31 successfully completed a two-day International Business Machines (IBM) skill build programme held at BAM Hall, NEISSR, Chümoukedima on October 31.
The skill build programme was organised and aimed at enhancing students’ proficiency in digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) and employability skills.
In a press release issued by the NEISSR, it stated that Deepneel Majumdar, an M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and a Ph.D. scholar, engaged the students in an enriching learning experience that connected theory with real-world applications.
It stated that the first day focused on introducing participants to the IBM Skills Build Platform which is a free and globally recognized digital learning initiative by IBM designed to provide individuals with access to cutting-edge training in emerging technologies and professional development. The press release also stated that the participants completed the first module of exploring data gaining essential insights into data fundamentals, data-driven decision making and the growing importance of data across diverse industries.
Furthermore, it stated that Majumdar elaborated on the key types of AI, decision-making AI, predictive AI, generative AI, and data-based AI, explaining their applications and influence in today’s digital ecosystem.
Likewise, it stated that he further highlighted the importance of a well-written cover letter, describing it as a concise and purposeful introduction accompanying a resume.
The IBM skill build program concluded with an interactive exchange between the resource person and participants allowing students to clarify concepts and share their reflections on the sessions, it stated.
