NEISSR holds workshop on ‘Project Cycle Management’

DIMAPUR, MARCH 1 (MExN): The North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research (NEISSR) organized a 3-days workshop program on “Project Cycle Management (PCM)”, which is a process of planning and managing projects, programmes and organizations. It is widely used in business sector and is increasingly being used by development organizations. 

 


It was conducted at NEISSR assembly hall from February 27 to February 29. Dr PJ Lukose, HoD of Assam Don Bosco University was the resource person for the workshop.

 


A press release from NEISSR stated that, the workshop helped the participants to understand and analyze the details of the result-based Project Cycle Management and also the necessities of getting involved in projects and programmes for empowerment of the poor. After every session the participants were given opportunity to evaluate and share their learnings. On the first day, the workshop focused on ‘Result and Change’, ‘Project Cycle Management’, ‘Plan making and the importance of planning’. On the 2nd day, inputs and groups works were done on ‘Project Design Stakeholders analysis’, ‘Problem tree analysis’ and ‘logical framework analysis’. On the third day, ‘differences and similarities between monitoring and evaluation along with the structures and systems’, ‘critical path method (CPM) for project scheduling and management’ were taken up.
