Dimapur, August 23 (MExN): NERIM Group of Institutions celebrated the arrival of its new student cohort with a grand event, ‘Welcome Meet 2024,’ held on August 23. The day was marked by speeches and award presentations, setting a positive tone for the academic year ahead.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr) Sangeeta Tripathi, Director of NERIM Group of Institutions. In her address, she emphasized the responsibility students have towards themselves, their families, and their institution.
Dr. Zoii Nath Sarma, Chairman of NERIM, spoke about the value of education and the importance of continuous learning. He encouraged students to transform their interest into action and achieve success through perseverance.
Prof. Deba Prasad Misra, the Registrar, welcomed the new students with a reminder that hard work is essential for achieving goals. He praised NERIM's esteemed position in the North East’s educational landscape and referenced a poem by Alfred L. Tennyson, highlighting the need for relentless effort and self-integrity.
The event concluded with the presentation of awards to outstanding students, including University Gold Medalists and top performers, celebrating their academic achievements and contributing to NERIM’s proud legacy.
