Guwahati, November 30 (MExN): The Training and Placement Department of NERIM Group of Institutions conducted various activities in the month of November, including campus placements and industrial visits.
According to the Head of Placements, Sagar Saikia, campus placements began with the participation of prominent organisations such as Varun Beverages Limited, Punjab National Bank, Met Life, MRF Tyres, and Asian Paints.
In addition, the Department conducted various training sessions to prepare students for campus placements with the support of many in-house faculty members.
A press release further informed that, for its tech students, the Department took the initiative and arranged a guest lecture session with Dr Bunil Kumar Balabantaray from NIT Meghalaya, an expert in the field of artificial intelligence.
To address the diverse needs of different courses, the Department strives to bring in various resources from industry and academia to bridge the gap, it said.
Further, industrial visits were arranged in many organizations such as AMTRON and Amul to provide students with practical insights and correlate practical aspects with theoretical knowledge.
