NESO calls for Black Day observation on Dec 11

DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 8 (MExN): The North East Students’ Organisation (NESO) has called for the observation of a ‘Back Day’ on December 11 in view of the Government of India’s passing of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019. In continuation of observation of this Black Day, the NESO decided that there will be a display of black flags and black banners in all the important places of all the seven states of the North East on December 11. “This observation is to give a message to the Government of India that we are against this Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 and also at the same time to remind our people and our posterior of yet another political injustice that the Government of India perpetrated against the indigenous peoples of the North East,” it added. The NESO called upon all people of the North East to support this observation and at the same time to “keep on fighting for the just cause which is our God given right.”
