
Dimapur, January 29 (MExN): The Public College of Commerce (PCC), Dimapur in collaboration with All India Democratic Students’ Organization (AIDSO) commemorated the 127th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on January 25.
To mark the occasion, a seminar was organised with Hemanta Pegu, secretariat members of All India Committee of AIDSO as the resource person. Pegu in his speech mentioned several notable events of Netaji's life, his significant role in formation of Indian National Army (INA), the battles and operations involving the INA during World War II fought in the South-East Asian theatre, stated a press release received here.
Pegu also highlighted on the role played by the “freedom loving people of North-East to support INA, led by Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.” He urged the youths of today to come forward to accomplish the incomplete task dreamt by Netaji to build a great nation and that will be the best way to pay tribute to this great leader.
The seminar was chaired by Dr Pradip Chakraborty, Head of Department of Economics, inaugural address was delivered by PCC Vice Principal Dulal Majumder and vote of thanks by Kitokali G Zhimomi, Asst Professor, Department of Education.
