
Maligaon, January 20 (MExN): Netaji Vidyapith Railway Higher Secondary School (NVRHSS), Maligaon will celebrate its platinum jubilee from January 21 to 23.
Anshul Gupta, General Manager, Northeast Frontier Railway will grace the occasion as chief guest and also inaugurate the wall magazine, exhibition and platinum jubilee special issue of school magazine ‘subhash’. Ex-principals, ex-teachers and golden alumni will grace the celebration.
As part of the three-day celebration, the students and teachers of the school will perform a variety of cultural events. Inter school quiz, art, craft, chorus, group dance etc. competitions will also be held during the celebration.
Netaji Vidyapith Railway HSS was established on January 23, 1948 in honour of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose. Dr Paritosh Kansa Banik, former Director of NIT, Silchar; Dr Jayashree Bhattacharjee, Ex-Principal of Vardhman Mahavir Medical College and Hospital, New Delhi and Rajib Dhar, FIDE rated Chess player were some of the noted persons who passed out from this institution.
