
Wokha, May 9 (DIPR): The monthly District Planning and Development Board meeting was held on May 9 at Deputy Commissioner Conference hall Wokha. The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman DPDB and DC Wokha Wezope Kenye.
The chairman who recently took charge as the new DC Wokha appealed to all the members to extend cooperation to bring about change in the district. With collective effort we can work for the betterment of the community and urged all to give their best in serving the people of the district. He also informed that, on May 14 a mass social work will be held from 7:00 am onwards, the work will begin from main town towards Wokha District Hospital and roads connecting various schools and colleges, in this regard the DC requested all members to mobilise their staff and take part in the social work positively. During the meeting Principal GHSS, Wokha briefly highlighted the HSLC exam 2016 for Government High School under Wokha district.
The board also approved to higher authority for registration of Society “Change Initiative” under Wozhuro town. Grant-in-aid to Gilgal High School, Wokha was also recommended by the board.
Power point presentation was made by Department of Irrigation & Flood Control, Wokha. Reacting on the power point presentation the new DC requested the department to give due attention for the well being of the farming community and urged to put proposals which will be more beneficial for the farmers.
