New Market FC today downed Barak FC 4-0 to lift the coveted champion title of 4th Kohima Super Cup 2022 here at Indira Gandhi Stadium under the aegis of Kohima Town Club (KTC).

Haotingmang Thomsong, Letkhokai Kuki, Nyithong Magh and Thejasetuo Gwirie netted a goal each for New Market FC.

With this, New Market FC received a cash prize of Rs 1.80 lakh while Barak FC awarded with Rs 1.20 lakh, sponsored by Dr Neiphrezo Keditsu and Thinuokhrielie Albert Yaotsu respectively.

Losing semi finalists A Yhome FC and G. Sports FC received Rs 30,000 each.

Haotingmang Thomsong of New Market FC bagged the “Player of the Tournament” title and received Rs 25,000 sponsored by Vesupra Kezo.

Most Promising Player was bagged by Vinato Achumi of Aphuyemi FC and awarded with Rs 10, 000 sponsored by OLOGOC.

Michael Dul bagged Best Referee and received Rs 10,000 sponsored by TIR STATION.

Best Coach Title was bagged by Stephen Rutsa of New Market FC and got Rs 10,000 sponsored by Khriesazo Liezietsu.

Sumit Marak of A Yhome FC bagged the Best Defender title and received Rs 10,000 sponsored by Athoo Kesiezie.

Toka Achumi of Aphuyemi FC and Nyithong Magh of New Market FC with 9 goals each were joint holder of highest scorer and received Rs. 5000 each sponsored by Teisongulie Dzuvichu.

Best Midfielder was bagged by Asito Krose of G- Sports FC and awarded with Rs. 10,000 sponsored by Ruokuovi Keditsu.

Dziesengulie Kire of Barak FC bagged the best keeper title and received Rs. 10,000 sponsored by Neikehetuo Kire.

New Market FC bagged Best Fans Club award and received Rs. 10,000 sponsored by Kelhou Suohu, Touch Enterprise.

Earlier, Dr Kekhriekuolie Yhome, chairman, Nagaland Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board graced grand finale as the guest of honour.
 
KTC XI- ISL players from Manipur to play exhibition match
Meanwhile, the 20 best players from Kohima Super Cup 2022 has been selected to represent Kohima Town Club (KTC) XI for an exhibition match against a team of Indian Super League (ISL) players from Manipur on June 4 at 5:30 PM at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.

The match will be powered by the Kohima Forest Division.

In view of the World Environment Day (WED) which falls on June 5, the Kohima Forest Division will be distributing tree saplings to spectators donning any green outfit during the match.
