New media challenges & alternatives discussed during regional seminar at CTC

Mokokchung January 20 (MExN): A three-day regional seminar at Clark Theological College, Aolijen jointly organized by Clark Communication and Cultural Research Centre (CCCRC) and Clark Centre for Peace Research and Action (CCPRA) on the theme, ‘New Media Challenges and Alternatives: Towards Peace Journalism’ concluded on January 18 at Clark Theological College, Mokokchung.


Dr. Samuel W. Meshack, Global President of World Association for Christian Communication, Canada and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong delivered the keynote address and Dr. Mohan Razu, Professor of Social Ethics, Bangalore; Dr. Peter Singh, Prof of Communication and Media Studies, Tamil Nadu Theological Seminary, Madurai and Visiting Professor, Kamaraj University; Dr. Lanusenla, Professor of Communication and Media Studies, Gossner Theological College, Ranchi, Jharkhand; Dr. A. Temjen Jamir, Academic Dean and Professor of Communication and Media Studies, Clark Theological College, Aolijen; Butesen Ozüküm, Shillong were the resource persons for the Seminar, this was stated by Imtiwala Imchen, Programme Co-ordinator, CCPRA in a press release.


Morning devotions were led by Tinumeren Ozüküm, Research Scholar, Friedrich Alexander University, Erlangen Nuremberg, Germany.


Altogether 10 resourceful papers were read and deliberated during the seminar.


57 participants, including communication scholars, theological educators, social activists, journalists, media practitioners and Doctoral as well as Master’s students of the Clark Theological College participated in the seminar.
