
Outgoing President of the CSU, Thupukutho Lohe handing over office to the incoming President, Seve R Vadeo.
Kohima, February 13 (MExN): The handing over and taking over charge for office bearers of Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU), for the tenure 2014-2016, was held on Wednesday at Jubilee Hall, Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima.
In the formal handing over ceremony, Thupukutho Lohe, the outgoing President handed over the office to incoming President, Seve R. Vadeo in the presence of the new team.
The outgoing President expressed confidence that the new team will continue to work for the welfare of the community and carry it forward to greater heights. He advised the new team to be bold in the face of challenges.
For the wellbeing of the Chakhesang community, he urged the incoming team to carry forward the pending issues which were left behind. He then expressed gratitude for the support and cooperation during the outgoing team’s tenure.
Taking charge as the new President, Seve R. Vadeo appreciated the outgoing team for rendering their tireless services to the Chakhesang community in particular and Nagas in general. He further assured to provide their utmost services for the wellbeing of the community. In this, he requested the outgoing team to support and guide the new office bearers throughout their passage.
Naga Students' Federation (NSF) General Secretary, Easter Rhakho, who was also the former President of CSU, called for better coordination among the team in order to develop better relationship. She also advised the team to consult their seniors in their future endeavors.
Former CSU President, Vevoyi D Vadeo urged the team to develop the feeling of oneness among the communities in order to secure cooperation. He stressed on the importance of preserving and safeguarding the rich heritage of the Chakhesang peoples.
While stressing on the important of teamwork, he advised the new team to have teamwork among themselves, as well as other frontal organization for better co-operation to resolves any issues arise.
The new team of office bearers include: President Seve R. Vadeo, Vice president- Senolü Veswu, General secretary- Ngapunyi Krocha, Assistant General Secretary - Küvoto Khamo, Finance Secretary-Wezazi Mero, Banker- Dukholü D Vadeo, Social & Culture Secretary-Vengota Rhakho, Games & Sports Secretary-Verazo Medeo, Publicity & Information Secretary-Chisakho Demo, Education Secretary- Tshekhro Thopi and Editor- Nüvokho Rhakho. Members of the Union Assembly include: Speaker-Dode Nakro, Deputy Speaker- Vipanyi Krome and Rite Khutso as Assembly Secretary.
