New Naga International Christian TV prog launched

With the launching of new Naga International Christian television programme through FETV here this evening by Highland Dawn Media, 125 countries can now witness evangelism, indigenous Naga cultural and others talents and musicians of Nagaland on every Sunday. The new Naga Christian Television programme called ‘Highlands Dawn’, to be telecast internationally, will be the first independently produced Naga TV programme seen weekly in 125 countries worldwide through FETV.

Formally launching this TV programme at a glittering function held at The Heritage, additional chief secretary and development commissioner Alemtemshi Jamir, IAS termed the initiative as a big leap for Naga people in globalization process. Also lauding the Highland Dawn for launching the programme, Jamir wishes to see that the programme project on the truthful society.

FETV is an American TV Channel called Far East Television, having a potential viewership of 125 countries in Asian, Africa, Europe, Middle East, and Australasia; covering 60% of the world’s landmass. FETV programmes feature positive entertainment content for the family, with world sports, Christian music, classic movies, comedy etc. Through a series of events, and God’s divine providence, FETV has offered HDM, a prime time slot; 9:00pm to 9:30pm every week on Sundays.

“This is a unique opportunity for Naga Christians to present an attractive evangelism witness and also showcase our culture, with Naga musical talent, to the outside world, through television,” said Wabang Moa, executive producer, HDM. Earlier, Rev. Dr. T. Nyekha said a dedicatory prayer while Neingulie Nakhro and Anung Longkumer compered the programme. Theja Meru, Lui Tzudir and Lower Kitsubozou Prayer Fellowship choir presented special numbers. Vote of thanks was proposed by Toshi Langu.
