
Y. Vikheho Swu, Parliamentary Secretary I&FC flags off the Ghathashi-Kohima NST Bus service at Ghathashi Town on January 30.
Ghathashi, January 31: Parliamentary Secretary, I&FC, Y Vikheho Swu inaugurated the New Ghathashi-Kohima NST Bus service on January 30 in the presence of Joint General Manager NST, Dimapur and Divisional General Manager NST Kohima and EAC Pughoboto Hq.
The chief guest, Y. Vikheho Swu in his address said that Ghathashi area is fortunate to avail the NST Bus service and he called upon the people to consider it a property of the people of the area and not as a property of the Government. He also requested the public to make the best use of the services that is being made available by the Transport Department in developing the economy of the area.
Ghathashi EAC HQ was established in 1975. The people of the area have long felt the need of the NST Bus service and on realizing the milestone, the Parliamentary Secretary on behalf of the Pughoboto Area thanked the DAN Government, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Paiwang Konyak and the NST Department.
Hekuto Yepthomi VP NPF Pughoboto Division chaired the programme, Howoto Sema Joint General Manager NST Nagaland spoke on behalf of General Manager NST Nagaland and Rev. Hotokhu Zhimomi ES SABAK blessed the Bus.
The newly inducted Ghathashi NST Bus service will provide semi deluxe service and will run alternate days of the week from Ghathashi to Kohima. On behalf of the General Manager NST, the Joint General Manager declared free transportation on Ghathashi NST Bus debut run on January 31.
