Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): The Nagaland Bar Association (NBA) has elected a new team of office bearers and Managing Committee members. This was done during the NBA general meeting held on February 12 at the Deputy Commissioner’s office complex, Dimapur.
Following are the new office bearers: President- Tali Ao; Vice-Presidents- Imkong Jamir, NC Murry, Kehriengulie; General Secretary- V. Hukavi Zhimomi; Joint Secretary- Nathaniel Kevichusa; Treasurer- BC Jain.
Meanwhile, the Managing Committee members are: CT Jamir (Senior Advocate), Akito Zhimomi, NK Luikham, NY Temjen, Ashipri Zho, Petevino K Liegise. All the above members who were unanimously elected are to hold office for a term of two years (2016-2018).
A press release from the NBA further informed that the meeting resolved that all records pertaining to the NBA would be handed over to the new team within a period of two weeks from the date of the meeting. It was also resolved that the Presidents and Secretaries of all federating units of the NBA will be ex-officio members of the Managing Committee.
