Guwahati, January 30 (MExN): An additional stoppage for two minutes of train no. 13176/13175 (Silchar –Sealdah-Silchar) Kanchanjungha Express at Bihara station under Lumding Division of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) was flagged off on January 29.
Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Silchar, Dr Rajdeep Roy inaugurated the service in the presence of senior railway officials from division and other dignitaries.
Accordingly, Train no. 13176 (Silchar – Sealdah) Kanchanjungha Express departing from Silchar will arrive at Bihara on the same day at 1:25 PM and depart at 1:27 PM.
Conversely, Train no. 13175 (Sealdah – Silchar) commencing journey from Sealdah will arrive at Bihara on the next day at 12 noon and depart at 12:02 PM, informed an official from the NFR.
This new stoppage is expected to fulfil a long standing demand of the local people, it added.
