New Sub-Centre at Satsu village inaugurated

Mokokchung, October 12 (MExN): The Sub-Centre at Satsu village, Mokokchung was inaugurated by Dr Kibangkumba, Chief Medical Officer Mokokchung on October 12.

A press release from the CMO office, Mokokchung stated that during a short programme conducted at community hall of Satsu village, the Chairman, Satsu Village Council presented a brief history of the recognition of the village in the year 2014 and the proposal of a Sub-Centre in the year 2018 and its eventual constitution of construction committee and it its inauguration on this day. He expressed his gratitude to the stakeholders responsible for the success.

The CMO Mokokchung, Dr Kibangkumba in his speech expressed gratitude to Imkong L Imchen, Advisor, Information and Public Relations, and Soil & Water Conservation, whose effort paved the way for the formation of Satsu village and construction of the new Sub-Centre building in the village. 

He requested the Village Council, the Village Health Committee members and the community to actively participate and support the Sub-Centre and its staff in every possible way: so that, timely maintenance and up gradation can be made possible in the near future. He also made the community aware of the importance of on time immunization, timely Ante Natal Care for pregnant women and measures to prevent diseases/illnesses: stating that prevention is always better than cure.

The inaugural function was attended by the village council from Aliba, Kinunger and Mangmetong village and Mangmetong Senso, Mokokchung town.
