New team of Chümoukedima Athletic Association assumes charge

Chümoukedima, November 11 (MExN): The new executive team of the Chümoukedima Athletic Association (CAA) headed by Viphülie Krose as President assumed charge on November 9 with an handing and taking over ceremony.

In his address, outgoing president Sedevikho Angami Angami stressed the need to build a strong foundation for young athletes in the district and urged the new team to promote discipline, unity and sustained commitment towards the growth of sports in Chümoukedima.

After assuming office, Krose appreciated the association for the confidence reposed in him and highlighted the importance of teamwork and collective effort. 

The CAA must move forward together as one family, nurturing sportspersons and strengthening the identity of the young district, he added.  He also emphasised the need to develop innovative and sustainable funding mechanisms to support the association’s activities.

Other in the executive team included General Secretary -Visako Angami; Vice President- Imlisunup Ao; Assistant General Secretary- Vitsikolie Kehie.  The association’s advisors are Bendangchuba Ao and Sedevikho Angami.

The ceremony, chaired by Imlisunup Ao, concluded with reaffirmation of the association’s commitment to promoting athletics and nurturing sporting talent in Chümoukedima district, informed a CAA release.
