New Traffic regulation in Dimapur

Dimapur, November 12 (MExN): In order to ease congestion and ensure better flow of traffic, the Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, N Hushili Sema has informed that the new traffic regulation within and around Dimapur will be strictly enforced from November 15, 2011.  The public and all concerned are directed to strictly adhere to the regulations and warned that defaulter will be penalizes as per law.
 
    Heavy vehicles will not be allowed to enter from New Field area from 7 am to 4 pm
    No vehicles will be allowed to park on both sides of the road from Dhobinala to Army Supply Road point
    Parking of vehicles only on the right side of the road from Holy Cross Point towards Dhobinala will be allowed
    Auto rickshaw not following the order to display specific routes are directed to do so, and those plying as per route permit will be penalized from November 15,2011 onwards
    Wearing of protective helmet will be strictly enforced. Use of cell phone while on the wheel will also be penalized.
    Single line parking will also be strictly enforced from Holy Cross point to Clock Tower area and defaulters will be fined.
    Vehicles without proper parking light, brake light and indicator light will be fined.
    ‘No parking’ sign boards in front of the shops and foot paths vendors will not be allowed on the pedestrian path henceforth.
