WOKHA, NOVEMBER 26 (MExN): Civil works for the New Wokha Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex have commenced at the new site, with CAWD Assistant Chief Engineer (ACE) Er Sungtiba Amer inspecting the project on Wednesday. He was accompanied by CAWD officials, administrative officers, engineers and the contractor.

Er Amer expressed satisfaction with the progress and underlined the need to maintain construction quality and adhere to the project timeline. “This new DC office complex will be a vital step toward administrative development in the district,” he said.

He urged the contractor to deploy adequate manpower, ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and enforce strict quality control. Departmental inspections, he added, were essential for monitoring progress and ensuring construction standards.

The upcoming complex will be a G+1 structure with two basement floors, designed to house multiple administrative departments under one roof. The work order was issued in June 2025 and the project is to be completed within 36 months. It was approved by the State Level Project Monitoring and Implementation Committee (SLPMIC) and is being implemented under the State Earmarked Projects category.

During the inspection, the CAWD team reviewed key structural components and briefed administrative heads on progress and projected timelines.

The new Tseminyu DC complex, sanctioned under State funding and the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme, had earlier faced delays due to site allocation issues but is now progressing steadily, officials said. The G+2 RCC structure will include a 150-seater conference hall, accessible facilities for persons with disabilities and provisions for an elevator.

Meanwhile, in Akuluto under Zunheboto district, the newly completed ADC Office Complex is scheduled for inauguration on Thursday. The event will be graced by Special Guest Kudecho Khamo, Advisor, CAWD & Taxes, with Kazheto Kinimi, Advisor, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, as Guest of Honour.

The G+2 ADC complex includes PWD-friendly ramps, accessible bathrooms and a conference hall, marking a significant infrastructure upgrade for the sub-division.
