Guwahati, May 29 (MExN): Expressions, the Assam Chapter of the North East Writers' Forum, released its first publication, EXPRESSIONS, An Anthology, on May 28 at the Forum's Office in Guwahati.
The anthology is a collection of creative writings and translated works by members of the Forum's Assam Chapter, informed a press release from the Forum on Sunday. It was released in the presence of founder members Mitra Phukan, Surajit Borooah and Purnima Das, themselves eminent writers. Besides Indrani Raimedhi, journalist and writer, the event was graced by poet Madhu Raghavendra, who had made Assam proud by participating at the recent Emergency Writers Congress at the New York UN headquarters led by PEN America, the release stated.
According to the release, the Anthology features interesting write-ups from both established as well as budding writers. The event too was graced by new enthusiastic members as well as founder members. Dipanjol Deka, the Forum's Secretary addressed the gathering, it added.
