Leshemi Losheteri Nye on May 10
Kohima, May 6 (MExN): The Leshemi Losheteri Nye will take place on May 10 at Leshemi village under Phek district. Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Kekhwengulo Lea will be the guest speaker. The host of Leshemi Losheteri Nye includes Leshemi Youth Society Leshemi village, Leshemi Youth Pfutsero Town and Leshemi Youth Organization Kohima. The programme will start from 10 a.m. onwards at the church premises.
One NSCN (K) cadre held
Zunheboto, May 6 (MExN): The Zunheboto Battalion of the Assam Rifles have claimed the arrest of a NSCN (K) cadre on May 1. According to a defence press release, the AR troops established a vehicle check post in Bhaimo Iron Bridge in Zunheboto district and apprehended the NSCN (K) cadre identified as one Ihoshe Kinimi, Rajapeyu of NSCN (K), aged 36 years. One mobile phone and 36 SP tablets were recovered from his possession, the release stated. The individual along with recovered items was later handed to Zunheboto Police Station for further investigation.
AR organises essay competition
PUNGRO, May 6 (MExN): The Kiphire Battalion of Assam Rifles organised an Essay writing competition at Mount Saramati School, Pungro on May 5. The aim of the competition was to create awareness about the water resource and the topic for the essay writing was “Save Water & Save Life”. A total of 52 students participated. Five best essays were shortlisted and prizes were distributed to the winners.
