KMC directs traders to avail permits
KOHIMA, JANUARY 16 (MExN): The Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) today issued an order warning against the sale of certain goods imported from Imphal/Manipur side for sale/business purposes in Kohima town which are being brought in without availing due permit. The order from the KMC administrator directed all to apply/avail import permit & coupon on January 20, 2018 from the office of the Kohima Municipal Council for bringing in such goods for sale under the KMC.
One killed in accident
Phek, January 16 (MExN): One person was killed and another injured in an accident which occurred on January 15 at Pokhungri-Avangkhu road under Phek district. A press release from Officiating PRO, HQ IGAR (N), Maj SS Suryakant stated that a motorbike fell into a gorge near Pokhungri village killing the person identified as Daniel and injuring another person. The incident took place around 11:00 am when the deceased was going to Avangkhu village where he worked as a labour. Phek Battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) on receipt of information launched a rescue team along with a Quick Reaction Team from Pokhungri immediately and reached the accident site, the press release said. The rescue team went down the gorge and rescued and evacuated both persons.
BSNL service down in Mkg
Mokokchung, January 16 (MExN): Divisional Engineer of BSNL Mokokchung, S Dhanbir Singh has informed that the BSNL GSM service in Mokokchung division is not working since January 15 around 1:00 pm because of a fire which broke out at PGCIL Dimapur. Therefore, all the BSNL customers have been requested to bear with the inconvenience caused till a permanent arrangement is made for a smooth service.
CM to unveil monolith for road improvement project
Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): The foundation stone laying ceremony for ‘Improvement of City Portion of Dimapur City (Km 106.90 to Km 124.20) on NH No. 39 in the State of Nagaland’ will be held on January 17, 9:00 am at Purana Bazar Junction, NH 39, Dimapur. The monolith will be unveiled by Chief Minister of Nagaland, TR Zeliang. Minister for PWD (National Highways), Nagaland, Y. Vikheho Swu will also deliver short speech at the event.
Nagaland BJMM State executive meeting
Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): The Nagaland State Bharatiya Janata Mahila Morcha (BJMM) in its monthly meeting held recently decided to hold a State executive meeting on January 19 in Dimapur. The meeting held on January 13 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur was attended by the State office bearers and special invitees from the State BJP, according to a press release from Nagaland BJMM president, Sanuo Ngullie.
KSON extends Mim Kut greetings
Dimapur, January 16 (MExN): Kuki Students' Organisation, Nagaland has extended greetings to Kuki community of Nagaland on ‘Mim Kut’.
