AR apprehend GPRN/NSCN cadres Zunheboto, February 11 (MExN): Personnel of 5 Assam Rifles apprehended two GPRN/NSCN cadres during an operation conducted in Sumi Gate, Zunheboto on February 9. A press release from Assam Rifles alleged that the cadres identified as Ivuto Chophy and Kunovi were indulging in extortion activities in Zunheboto Town. Among other items, the cadres were also in possession of an “extortion note” addressed to the Engineer, Irrigation Department of Zunheboto, the release added. The apprehended cadres along with the recovered items were handed over to Zunheboto Police Station. MDMA concert cancelled Mokokchung, February 11 (MExN): The office of Mokokchung District Musician Association (MDMA) has informed that the concert which was scheduled to be held on February 14 at Cosmos Entertainment Hall here under the aegis of MDMA has been cancelled due to “unavoidable circumstances”. The office in a press release expressed deep regret for the cancellation of the “much awaited” concert and requested the members and well-wishers to bear with the inconveniences. NCRC appeals to have special prayer today Kohima, February 11 (MExN): Nagaland Christian Revival Church Council (NCRC) has appealed to all the churches and believers regardless of denominations to have a special prayer on February 12 for the prevailing situation in Nagaland. For NCRC, a press release from NCRC President, Rev. Dr. N Paphino requested the tribal executive secretaries to inform their respective churches to organize prayer programme such as fasting/chain prayer etc. till situation becomes normal. For February 12 prayer, the NCRC churches around Kohima were asked to gather at Chakhesang CRC, Upper PWD Kohima at 1:00 pm and NCRC churches around Dimapur were asked to come to NCRC Prayer Centre, Rüveba, 7th Mile, Chumukedima at 1:00 pm “to have a mass prayer, seek the mercy of God and also pray for the intervention of Holy Spirit.” Philimi prayer fellowship postponed Dimapur, February 11 (MExN): The monthly prayer fellowship of Philimi Welfare Dimapur, which is usually held on the second Saturday of every month, has been postponed to the third Saturday for the month of February. The fellowship will be held at the residence of Xuhovi Wotsa in Padumpukhuri, a press release informed.
