1 apprehended for collecting tax Dimapur, March 7 (MExN): Troops of 32 Assam Rifles and police representatives during a search operation apprehended one person who was collecting tax from shopkeeper at City Tower area in Dimapur on March 3. According to a press release from Assam Rifles, the person identified as N Mar Longkumer (43), Kilonser, NNC was apprehended with “incriminating documents”. The individual along with the recovered items was handed over to West Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation. National Deworming Day Kohima, March 7 (MExN): Commissioner & Secretary H&FW, Abhijit Sinha (IAS) will launch the first phase of National Deworming Day for 2017 at Northfield School, Kohima on March 10 at 9:30 am. Principal Director, H&FW, Dr. L Watikala will deliver the keynote address, while State Programme Officer (RCH), Dr. Bendangla Longkumer will chair the programme, and Mission Director, NHM, Dr. N. Bendangyanger Jamir will deliver the vote of thanks. The programme is being organized by Department of Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland.
