Chizami Village Council expels one Chizami, March 10 (MExN): Chizami Village Council has expelled Dikhamo Wezah from its jurisdiction for his “detrimental activities towards the Village even after repeated warnings.” A press statement from Kewepelo Tsuhah, Chairman and Keduwe Tsuhah, Secretary of Chizami Village Council cautioned against his movements within the village jurisdiction “or face dire consequences.” It also warned that Dikhamo “will be held solely responsible for any untoward incident which may happen to any citizen of Chizami at any time or place.” The Council further stated that individuals, parties and groups associating or sheltering him will be doing so at their own risk.     AR apprehend one Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): Troops of 32 Assam Rifles apprehended an individual along with one .22 mm pistol, magazine and four live rounds during an operation launched with police representative on March 8 at Rail Bazar, Dimapur, informed a press release from AR. The apprehended person has been identified as Sanjeev Phukhom (35). He along with the recovered arms and ammunitions was handed over to Sub Urban Police Station, Dimapur for further investigation, the release added.     No NEAC prog this year due to lack of funds Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): All the organizations/institutions which had applied for the National Environmental Awareness Campaign (NEAC) 2016-17 have been informed that as per letter No. F/No.9-1/2016-EE dated 25th January 2017 received from the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, the NEAC programme cannot be carried out this year (2016-17) due to lack of funds. This was informed in a press release issued by Member Secretary of Nagaland Pollution Control Board & NEAC Coordinator, Rusovil John.     Polling officials of Dimapur informed Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): All the Presiding Officers, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Polling Officials who attended the training for the conduct of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) election have been informed to obtain their honorarium on March 14 and 15 from the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur during office hours. A valid identity proof will be required for authentication, informed a press release from Elizabeth Ngully, Additional Deputy Commissioner & Returning Officer, DMC. The release mentioned that those who come after the above mentioned dates will not be entertained.
