All arms licence without the UID number after March 31 shall be declared “invalid” and the weapons against such cancelled licence shall be treated as “illegal weapons,” DC Phek Murohu Chotso said in the notification. DC Wokha cracks whips on smoking, sale of tobacco Wokha, March 16 (DIPR): In exercise of the power conferred by section 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the cigarettes and other tobacco products (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of the Trade and Commerce, Production, Supply and Distribution) Act 2003, Deputy Commissioner, Wokha Wezope Kenye has prohibited smoking in public places accessed by the general public, direct and indirect advertisement of Cigarettes and other tobacco products, sale of tobacco products to minors and within 100 yards of any educational institutions and mandatory depiction of pictorial health warning on every tobacco package in the interest of general public under Wokha district with immediate effect. The District Administration is also appointing Enforcing Officer from every Department to impose and collect fine against the violators of the Act. SPCAs enrollment drives starts from March 20 Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCAs) Dimapur District unit will start enrolment for annual membership at its office located in CVO office, Burma Camp from March 20.
