AR personnel seize liquor Dimapur, June 14 (MExN): 41 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) along with Police representative conducted a joint operation in 7th Mile, Dimapur on June 13 and recovered 707 cases of illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). The liquor were recovered from a godown belonging to one Asum, whose whereabouts could not be discovered, according to a press release from PRO, Assam Rifles. The recovered liquor was handed over to Diphupar Police Station, the release added. DC Phek cautions Phek, June 14 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Phek, Kovi Meyase has informed that the 22nd Assam Rifles Phek is conducting small arm firing practice at firing range from June 12 to 17 from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. In a press release, NSSATA Tuensang unit president, Tochijung Chang and Member, Selongkyu stated that due to the failure on the part of the government, SSA teachers are facing untold miseries since their appointment. It also mentioned that they have been attending their duties at school in spite of the hardship faced. “However, if the concerned authority continues to threaten their rights and security, they would be left with no other choice but resort back to their own course of action,” the press release added.
