Dimapur Sakshi Union condemns   Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): The Dimapur Sakshi Union has vehemently condemned the alleged rape of two minor girls aged 5 and 7 by one Thunglim Lemba in Tuensang Town.   Such crimes create a “fear psychosis” and stop girls from living fearlessly in todays's civilised society, the union stated in a condemnation note.   The union urged the state government agencies to expedite the inquest and “award the highest punishment” to the culprit so that such crime is not repeated again.   The union also urged every right thinking citizen and civil societies to stand by the victim's family until fair justice is received.     Kuhuboto public appeals for revoking transfer of SDO (C)   Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): The public of Kuhuboto area have expressed surprise to learn of the transfer of SDO (C) Kuhuboto. Stating that SDO (C) Kuhuboto was only recently posted to the area, the Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organisation (KGPO) appealed the state government to “immediately revoke” the transfer order “in the interest of the public”. The decision to make the appeal was made during an emergency meeting of KGPO executive council – representing people of 23 villages and one town – at Town Hall, Kuhuboto on June 20, a press release from the KGPO informed.     Seminar on fruit & vegetable preservation   Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The women department of Assembly of God Lotha Church Kohima (AGLCK) organized one day seminar on fruit & vegetable preservation at AGLCK on June 15. Chozhule Kikhi, (Rtd.) Deputy Director of Horticulture, who was the resource person, showed live demonstration on preservation of fruits and vegetables. “We should not sit idly & waste time when there is work to be done. So also we should not waste the surplus fruits and vegetables but instead we should go for processing & preservation as these are the products of the hard work that we put into the soil,” the resource person told the gathering, according to a press release. The programme was chaired by Renbeni Kikon, Women Pastor.     BJP Peren to observe 3 yrs of BJP rule   Peren, June 20 (MExN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Peren district will be observing three years of BJP led-NDA government on June 21, 11:00 am at Tening Town Hall, under the theme "Saab ka Sath Saab Ka Vikash" in collaboration with the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC).     HS&G invites students for Yoga Day   Dimapur, June 20 (MExN): The Hindustan Scouts & Guides has invited students from schools who are interested in Yoga and general public to witness and join the demonstration on the International Yoga Day on June 21. The event will held at Herbert Spencer School ground, Walford from 6:00-7:00 am. The reporting time is between 5:30-5:50 am and the participants are informed to come along with a mat or a sheet of cloth.     TAYO organizes cleanliness drive   Wokha, June 20 (DIPR): Tsumang-A Youth Organisation (TAYO) in collaboration with colony union officials organized a cleanliness drive on June 19.   It started with clearing of waste bins at Tsumang daily market area. The youth organization has urged all the public and business establishments in Tsumang-A colony to maintain cleanliness for a safe environment.   Meanwhile, the TAYO has thanked all members for their support in the drive.
