Revoke transfer of SDO (C): Kuhuboto students’ appeal   Dimapur, June 21 (MExN): The Kuhuboto Ghakhu Students’ Union (KGSU) has expressed its support to the Kuhuboto Ghakhu Public Organisation’s (KGPO) appeal to the state government to “immediately revoke” the transfer order of the SDO (C).   The KGSU in a press release informed that the union held a meeting to deliberate on the transfer during which it was felt that regular transfers within short periods of time hamper public-government relationship.   In this regard, the union “in the interest of the general public” appealed the concerned authority to look into the matter and revoke the transfer.     ENWOK condemns alleged rape   Kohima, June 21 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Women Organization (ENWO) Kohima Unit has vehemently condemned the alleged rape on two minor girls aged 5 and 7 by one Thunglim Lemba on June 15 at Tuensang.   Terming the act “beastly”, the ENWOK called for condemnations from all quarters and called for “stringent punishment” under customary laws.   “Regardless of village, community and tribe, crimes such as these should carry stringent punishment under our customary laws so that the menace of rape is contained and existence of such law cutting across communities and tribe will be a deterrent for would be perpetrators,” the ENWOK stated.   The ENWOK also appealed the concerned authority to award befitting punishment to the culprit and grant no bail “under any circumstances”.   The organisation further stated that it stands with the victims and their families in their pursuit of justice.     Delhi Ao Students’ Union informs   New Delhi, June 21 (MExN): The Delhi Ao Students’ Union has informed that the admission process for undergraduate courses in Delhi University for the 2017-18 session would be starting in the last week of June. Cultural Secy. – 9643744551.     LBC Kohima observes Father’s Day   Kohima, June 21 (MExN): Along with the rest of the world, the Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church observed Father's Day on June 18 at their church premises with Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) Women Department President Akengiu as the resource person. Akengiu in her speech mentioned that fathers are the one friend upon whom we can always rely in times of need. She also said that fathers are a guiding light whose love shows us the way. The women Department of Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church generously presented gifts to all the fathers in attendance.
