AR apprehend GPRN/NSCN cadre Kohima, August 2 (MExN): Troops of 9 Assam Rifles and 3 Assam Rifles apprehended a GPRN/NSCN cadre during an operation conducted along with police representative in Kezekie colony, Kohima on July 31, informed a press release from Assam Rifles. The operation was conducted based on specific intelligence regarding presence of cadres in the area. The apprehended person identified as Khrielietuo Keretsü (32) was in possession of 15 extortion slips, it alleged. He along with the recovered items was handed over to Kohima (North) Police Station for further investigation. Bike recovered Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The Ministry of Kilo Affairs, NSCN (IM) during a routine mission seized a bike – Royal Enfield (Twins Park) 350 cc, black in colour – with chassis number ME3U355COBFO78405 and engine number U355COBFO78405 from bike lifters in Dimapur recently. YOCW training underway in Zunheboto district Zunheboto, August 2 (MExN): A weeklong training under the Year of Construction Workers (YOCW) is underway in Zunheboto. A joint venture of Government of Nagaland, YouthNet, Zynorique Initiatives and the Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, the training began on July 31 and will conclude on August 5. In the inaugural session, Richard Belho of Zynorique Initiatives highlighted the concept and main objectives of YOCW. He encouraged the trainees to take the training seriously stating there are lots of opportunities in the construction industry. Er. Namang Sepong Chang, SDO (Civil) Zunheboto in his motivational talk said no work is big or small and one should take pride in whatever works one do and also promote dignity of labor. He told the trainees to work hard with dignity and humility. Altogether, 50 youths are undergoing the training. DEO office Dimapur informs Dimapur, August 2 (MExN): The District Education Officer ‘s office, Dimapur has informed all the principals/ headmasters/ head teachers of both government & private schools under DEO Dimapur that the Teacher’s Award forms for both State/District and Financial Assistant forms will be issued during office hour. All schools have been asked to collect the same. They may forward any deserving teacher who has served more than 10 years in teaching profession, a press release from Deputy District Education Officer, Dimapur stated.
