One found dead

Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): One unidentified male (age around 45+) was found dead at Rail Bazar here on February 2 around 7:55 am, informed Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police/PRO in a press release. Necessary formalities were observed and the dead body was forwarded to district hospital morgue for identification, the release added.  

DEO Peren informs

Peren, February 2 (MExN): The District Education Officer (DEO) of Peren has informed all the regular state and central appointees under the establishment of DEO Peren to come and fill up the Undertaking form from February 5 to 10 on any working day. Failing to do so, the office will not be held responsible, the DEO stated in a press release.  

Governor to meet students

Kohima, February 2 (DIPR): The Governor of Nagaland desires to hold a meeting-cum-get together on February 9 at Raj Bhavan with the four Naga students who were awarded President's Bravery award 2018 and five students along with one teacher from each college, higher secondary school located in Kohima and Dimapur. Therefore, all concerned colleges or higher secondary schools in Dimapur and Kohima have been informed to submit the names of five students and one teacher guide to the Directorate of School Education on or before February 5 for shortlisting of the participating schools and colleges. The information should be submitted through email at: director.se.nagaland@gmail.com  

Mokokchung DPDB meeting postponed

Mokochung, February 2 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Sachin Jaiswal in a circular has informed that Mokokchung DPDB meeting for the month of January 2018 stands postponed in view of the ensuing general election to the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Members have been informed to take note of the postponement.  

ADC Zbto informs on medical board

Zunheboto, February 2 (DIPR): ADC of Zunheboto, Vekhoyi Chakesang has informed that second medical board for Zunheboto district in view of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2018 for polling personnel is slated to be held on February 9 in the chamber of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Zunheboto at 11:00 am. All the applicants have been instructed to appear before the medical board without fail.  

Deadline extended for Input Service Distributors

Kohima, February 2 (DIPR): In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (6) of section 39 read with section 168 of the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (4 of 2017) and in supersession of notification No. 27/2017, dated the 15th November, 2017, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Commissioner of State Taxes has extended the time limit for furnishing the return by an Input Service Distributor (ISD) in FORM GSTR-6 under sub-section (4) of section 39 of the said Act read with rule 65 of the Nagaland Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, for the months of July, 2017 to February, 2018, till March 31, 2018.  

Minister CL John condoles

Kohima, February 2 (MExN): Minister of Rural Development & REPA, CL John has expressed shock over the demise of Nyeiwang Konyak, former Minister. John said Nyeiwang proved to be “one of the sincere, hardworking and bonafide citizens as well as competent public leader in his own capacity with integrity, accountable and vast wisdom.” Acknowledging that it would be very difficult to fill the vacuum caused by his premature death, the minister in a condolence message added, “his untiring voluntary services to society and individual will be heartily remembered by one and all.” He further shared sorrow and sympathy with the bereaved family and prayed to God to grant peace and solace to the departed soul.
