People eagerly await solution to Naga issue, says Governor
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): Nagaland State Governor, PB Acharya today stated that the people of the state are “excited” and eagerly waiting for an early solution to the Indo- Naga political issue. A press note from the PRO, Raj Bhavan informed that the Governor said this while addressing the 48th Conference of Governors at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi. He also thanked the President, Prime Minister and Home Minister for their efforts to find a permanent solution to the over six decade-old Naga issue. The Governor expressed his enthusiasm that the peace process was moving in the right direction and hoped that a settlement will be reached at the earliest. Acharya meanwhile also expressed his concern for the unemployed youth of the State. He felt that the permanent solution to the Naga issue will spur development and progress which will create opportunities for employment and help the youth of Nagaland.
NNC/GDRN (Non Accord) appeals to Naga people
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 31 (MExN): The NNC/GDRN (Non Accord) today appealed to all its rank and file, Church leaders and believers of different denominations in Nagaland to “unite in prayer” for the representatives of the 6 NNPGs Working Committee who are currently in talks with the Government of India. A press note from the MIP Kilonser, NNC/GDRN (Non Accord) informed that the 3rd round of ongoing peace talks between 6 NNPGs Working Committee and the Government of India is being held from October 31 to November 3 in New Delhi. The NNC/GDRN (Non Accord) is being represented by its President, Kiumukam Yimchunger and Political Affairs Kilonser, Shihoto I Yesca. It asked the Naga people to pray for a successful meeting, genuinely acceptable to the Nagas’ determination for self identity and prosperity based on its historical and political right.
Disease profiling in Kohima
Kohima, October 31 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & Chairperson of District Health Society, Kohima has informed the public residing in Kohima municipal jurisdiction (19 wards) that the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM) under the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare is undertaking first of its kind Community Based Activity on Vulnerability Mapping and Assessment/Disease Profiling for Urban Health. During the exercise from November 1 to 7, Urban ASHAs, ANMs and Anganwadi Workers will conduct household survey and interview head of the household to record data in a prepared survey format, the DC said in a press release. The general public has been requested to provide cooperation during the activity.
DMC informs on issuance of permits, license
Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): All the residents under Dimapur municipality have been informed that starting from November 1, 2017, Residential Sanitary Tax (RST) payment receipt will be mandatory for issuance of any permit, license, certificate etc. from the office of the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC). This information was issued by DMC Administrator, Moa Sangtam.
Registration for D.El.Ed to re-open from Nov 1
Kohima, October 31 (MExN): Principal Director of School Education, Smita Sarangi has informed all the in-service teachers (both govt. & private) teaching classes I – VIII that as per the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy letter No.11-115/2017-EE.10 dated 30th October 2017, the registration for D.El.Ed course will be re-opened from November 1 to 7, 2017 to give a chance for those in-service teachers who have missed in applying for the course earlier. In this regard, all the teachers concerned have been asked to avail of the opportunity and register for the course.
