‘Suspected’ NSCN (K) cadre apprehended Mon, February 7 (MExN): Tizit battalion under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) apprehended a “suspected” NSCN (K) cadre during an operation conducted with police representative at Hospital Colony, Aboi Town on February 4, informed a press release from Assam Rifles. Identified as Captain Phuto Konyak (42), the apprehended person has been handed over to Aboi police station, the release added. NPF Minority Wing members join NDPP Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The president of NPF Minority Wing, Dimapur division, Suresh Paira and working president of NPF Minority Wing Central, Mohendra Thaosen have both resigned from the primary and active membership of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) with effect from February 5, 2018. The two submitted their resignation to the NPF Central president on February 5. A separate press release from NDPP Media & Communication Committee informed that NDPP on February 6 welcomed members from NPF Central Minority Wing and others to its fold. Phek DPDB meet cancelled Phek, February 7 (MExN): The monthly meeting of Phek District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) for the month of February has been cancelled till further notification due to the forthcoming 13th NLA general election.
